There are 3 primary ways you can get involved with Kansans for Conservation:
Education (on an individual level): Help others know about what we’re doing and why, letters to editors, community presentations, school newsletter articles, social media engagement and learning how to organize people who are not necessarily in your general vicinity.
Leadership (on a community level): Network with the leaders in the field and find out their why and build relationships within their community, form a club, could be activities at a park where younger students can be educated about conservation issues (KACEE and KFAC activities)
Legislative Work (at the coalition level): Learn the ins and out of the legislative process, learn how to contact and talk with your legislator, engage with the Day at the Capitol

About Kansans for Conservation:
Kansans for Conservation is a coalition of diverse organizations dedicated to promoting sustainable water, land management, outdoor recreation, and environmental education in Kansas. The group collaborates with agricultural producers, nonprofit organizations, and businesses to support conservation initiatives. Their efforts focus on securing reliable state funding for projects that protect natural resources, enhance outdoor infrastructure like parks, ex and trails, expand education and improve quality of life. They also engage in advocacy, policy initiatives, and public education to ensure a healthier, sustainable future for Kansas.
