Join KACEE for the 2021 Excellence in Environmental Education Awards Celebration, this year held in the fall on Friday, October 1st, 2021 at the Sunset Zoo in Manhattan, Kansas.
The Kansas Association for Conservation and Environmental Education (KACEE) has created a special one-time award category, The Pivot Award, to honor and recognize an environmental educator who demonstrated outstanding adaptability during the COVID-19 pandemic. Nominate an individual, organization, agency, school, or business in the field of EE.
2020 was a challenging time for so many, yet we saw inspiring examples of adaptability and creativity as educators had to learn quickly and think outside the box in order to continue delivering their curriculum to students. These efforts were often made extra challenging by disparities in internet access, home environments, and other inequities faced by students. We at KACEE want to recognize outstanding adaptability during the COVID-19 pandemic, so this year we are presenting the Pivot Award to one individual, organization, agency, school, or business in the field of environmental education at our 2021 Excellence in Environmental Education Awards Celebration.
Whose efforts in 2020 inspired you, impacted your life or the life of someone you know, or made a difference in your community? Who would you like to see recognized for their efforts and adaptability during the pandemic? Please take a moment to nominate a person or organization who comes to mind as going above and beyond.
All nominations must be submitted by Friday, August 13th, 2021.
